Since 1970, JTI has been one of the leading tobacco providers in Malaysia, a top market for JTI in the Asia Pacific region. JTI works with a network of local retailers to distribute their products nationwide in Malaysia.

The Challenge
As with any company dealing with high volume of sales, JTI required a more streamlined and systematic process to monitor sales, inventory, and retailers. MC Crenergy took on the project with an aim of offering a cohesive and reliable system for JTI. Several functions of Datanory were recommended for this project.

Solution
MC Crenergy began with an analysis on JTI’s existing DSD system. Enhancements were made to ensure the system automatically records all stages of sales process, includes tracing sales contacts that have been made by their distributors, for the purpose of proper following-up. Proper system is in place to ensure that sales efforts are not duplicated, offering a more unified form of communication to retailers.

Consolidating daily transactions from all distributors and minimizing abuse and fraud cases, which were tedious and time-consuming in the past, have become an ease.

In one instance, JTI was able to carry out a product launch successfully due to smart demographic and geographic targeting. To do this, JTI has received more 100 reports throughout the project duration. 

JTI also gains better control of its distribution channels. With the knowledge of distributor’s sale in place, the company is able to implement better, more effective strategy to improve or change the promotion in order to achieve certain goals. 

JTI has faced plenty of challenges and business needs throughout its year of operations. With this mind, an improved version of PNL system was established and interfaced with DSD system to ensure both systems are synergistically benefit the organization. The PNL system was conceived to help JTI’s distributors manage their financial activities (JTI assets and facilities) more efficiently. The system also functions to help reduce workload in compiling profit and loss record.

A streamlined record of income and expenses will be available in the system for sharing internally with other departments such as Sales, Account, Logistics, Marketing and etc. The integration of various data source was made easy with the help of professional consultants who were to guide the company along the way. A more streamlined data source offers the company an improved processing time, reduced workload, and an increased in data security and accuracy.

The Challenge
Difficulties of consolidating and generating reliable reports from various sources.

Solution
MC Crenergy was engaged to enhance the existing business reports and provide consultation to improve a range of hands-on workshop for Danone’s IT department. Danone put its trust on MC Crenergy to provide valuable consultation especially in handling highly challenging local and regional projects.

A unified e-claim system was implemented to ensure offices from Malaysia, Singapore, India, and China were able to share the technology in a more efficient manner. Staff from different regions are now able to make claims on the spot and have approval done with minimal and less manual work involved. This way, Danone is able to save tremendous amount of time, and reduce costs stemming from human errors. 

Danone’s sales and operation reporting system is further strengthened to give a competitive edge to the market leader. With a new system in place, all data are visualized in a single platform that allows management to quickly see the performance reports in just one simple analysis. The system was fortified with machine-learning capability to ensure that it continuously improving and able to dispense more meaningful data as time goes by. The new system will service the operations of Danone in countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Japan. 

MC Crenery was also tasked to improve on Danone’s merchandizing app. The app was aimed to capture information such as the product’s market selling prices, location stored and stocks status in order to understand their product’s position in the real market (site/retailers). With the capability of Datanory’s merchandising feature,, more accurate insights can be gained in shorter time to help develop more precise marketing strategy, and set supplies schedule.

MC Crenery was also responsible for oiling the connection between Danone and its customers by providing a system that effectively bridges between the two. The system allows Danone to define the sales promotion, contracts and trade terms between their customers, and also the approval process

AstraZeneca is a global leading, innovation-driven, integrated biopharmaceutical company. MC Crenergy has developed an integrated Business Information System to replace AstraZeneca’s legacy sales system to vastly improve on the predecessor’s functionality, user experience, and to reduce the support personnel workload. The system in place is ODYSSEY – an Integrated Sales Intelligence System.

System environment improvement and new enhancements to streamline operations, increase efficiency, and provide accurate forecast.

AstraZeneca benefits greatly from the new system in place. Sales performances and operations have experienced a more efficient, streamlined improvement, with better grasp and control on sales planning and events execution. A more concrete planning by sales team can be carried out using the Sales Force Territory Maintenance Module to ensure all geographical areas are covered and served. Sales team is also supported by an array of modules including the Sales Analytics Module (BI, SSAS), Sales Target, Forecast and Budget Maintenance Module, General Sales/ Invoice Entry Module, Import Sales Data from 3rd Party Distributor to ensure their daily operations are smooth and uncompromised.

An Event Management Application (EMA) *refer to Datanory TPMS features*, elevated AstraZeneca’s planning and execution of events, exhibitions, and seminars. EMA also allows users to create new event, allocate budget, approve process, manage invitations, handle speaker contract, print visitor tags, and capture visitor attendance.

MC Crenergy carried out backbone operation that provided a sustainable solution to Sangla. The system was aimed to enhance operations, minimise cost, and make more efficient use of the budget for trade sales activities.

MC Crenergy  developed the Sales Force Automation (SFA) System (refer to Datanory SFA features), an end to end presales operation solution, that allows Tohtonku to manage their daily general trade sales operation more efficiently.

Benefits
Tohtonku is able to maximise their operation efficiency with a new system in place. Various operational force is strengthened including stocks management, products returns and exchange, credit management, and route planning. Each and every arm of sales is fortified with integration of sales system to allow sales force to focus on what’s important: their customers.

SFA system consistently generates highly accurate dataset allowing Tohtonku to precisely make accurate sales forecast and maximise their business performance.

The Time and Attendance Management System (TAMS) *refer to Datanory TAS features*, was developed by MC Crenergy for Technip. The system was also integrated with the Johnson Control’s P2000 Security Access System. 

Benefits
Improvements were immediately experienced in various departments of Technip, particularly the Human Resources and Accounting, since the implementation of the system. Managing staff’s performance and activities is an ease now with the system in place, and this cuts down manual labor for Technip.

The TAMS system was a vast improvement over the Eita TAMS in terms of flexibility and adoptability. The comprehensive system supports the calculation of flexible working hours such as mobile worker or sales team. It also produces a report that highlights any unusual activities or transactions to alert the corresponding HOD to take the needed action. The system has function that supports comprehensive overtime calculation or formulas and also full range of productivity reports for analysis such as attendance summary, late attendance, Badge Activity, overtime and more.
